Metheral Hill
Devon
Metheral Hill pushes out into Taw Marsh on the northern moor, sitting between Steeperton Tor to the southwest and Cosdon Hill to the northeast. The top is flat enough that you do not get a view down into the marsh until you have walked right out to the end, where the high point at 458 metres is marked by an upright spot height stone. The best approach is from Hound Tor, dropping down onto the hill from there. Two boundary stones on the north side are worth looking out for. The ground on the Steeperton side drops into serious bog, so pick your route with care.
