Greator Rocks

Devon

Greator Rocks is a striking granite tor that rises prominently from Dartmoor's high moorland. Its rocky outcrops and weathered granite faces make it a distinctive landmark and a draw for climbers seeking natural rock features. The tor sits at approximately 374 metres above sea level, commanding views across the surrounding open moor.

The walk to Greator Rocks takes you across typical Dartmoor terrain, with rough grass and heather underfoot. The tor's exposed position means it catches the weather, but on clear days the views stretch across the central plateau. It sits among other notable tors and granite features, forming part of the geological character that defines this landscape.
