Becka Brook rises on the open moor near Hound Tor, between Haytor and Widecombe, and runs down the eastern edge of Dartmoor towards the wooded country around Manaton. On the way it drops through a boulder-strewn gorge as Becky Falls, a series of cascades falling roughly twenty metres through the trees.
Below the falls the brook joins the River Bovey, of which it is a tributary, near Trendlebere Down. The falls, long shown on old maps as Becka Falls, became a popular visitor attraction and are run as one today, while the brook above stays quiet open moor.
