Burrator Waterfall

Meavy, Devon

Grid ref: SX 5526 6757

Part of Meavy →

Burrator Waterfall, located some 300 metres south of the Burrator reservoir, is a picturesque cascade on Sheepstor Brook. This natural feature, situated in Burrator Wood, is often overlooked despite its beauty, with mature trees and boulders creating a stunning scene. The brook continues its journey to join the River Meavy, where remnants of an old hydro-electric plant stand as a reminder of man's attempt to harness the power of nature.
