Fernworthy Circle stands hidden in Fernworthy Forest (which is a recent addition to the moor - being planted in 1921.
It can be accessed through the tracks the Forestry Commission have built to access the plantation.
The antiquarian R. Hansford Worth investigated a popular claim that stone rows once linked this circle to Scorhill Circle. In his 1932 paper he wrote: "I can find no evidence in support of this statement, after making detailed surveys of the Fernworthy Circle and its associated rows, of the Shuggledown rows and of Scorhill Circle."
