Small enclosure and tiny hut circle by the Cowsic

Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1012542) describes an oval enclosure with a single stone hut circle built across the north line of its boundary wall, on a terrace right beside the west bank of the River Cowsic. The enclosure is 21 metres east to west by 13 metres north to south inside, bounded by rubble walling 1.5 metres thick and 0.4 metres high. A dip in the wall just east of the hut may mark the entrance. It lies in the parish of Dartmoor Forest, about 0.8 km south of Conies Down Tor.

The hut has a stone and earth wall 1.4 metres wide and 0.6 metres high round a space only 2.3 metres across. A circular stone structure 1.3 metres across inside, with a wall 1.2 metres wide and 0.2 metres high, is attached to the hut's west wall.
