Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1019568) describes a cairn holding a cist on a gentle north-east-facing slope of Skir Hill, above the valley of the O Brook. The cairn is a ring of edge-set slabs 4.1 metres across and up to 0.5 metres high. The cist, a little west of the centre, is a stone-lined pit 0.82 metres long, 0.52 metres wide and 0.82 metres deep, revealed by a past excavation. It lies in the parish of Dartmoor Forest, about 2.1 km south-west of Combestone Tor and 1.9 km south of Hexworthy.
