Cholwich Town Reave, Lee Moor, with enclosure and cairn

Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1017399) describes the Cholwich Town Reave, which runs broadly along the 370 metre contour from the Rook Watershed Reave in the east to a point just beyond the Cross Dyke in the west, a distance of 2.2 kilometres, marked at its middle by an enclosure with hut circles. It was formerly known as Cholwich Town Reave North and South, but the scheduling treats it as one reave. It lies across the parishes of Cornwood and Shaugh Prior, about 1.7 km south-east of Great Trowlesworthy Tor.

The northern part runs some 1.1 kilometres north-west of the middle enclosure, including that enclosure's south bank, round the south side of Lee Moor. It is a bank of earth and stone up to 1.75 metres wide and 0.6 metres high, faced with upright stones at its wider eastern end. Between the cairn and the enclosure near the western end is a gang-junction, where two stretches built separately were misaligned and do not quite meet. There are two entrances through the reave, one near the middle and another just north-west of the eastern enclosure. The cairn is thought older than the reave, which seems to have been lined up on it. The enclosure on the south side of the reave has no huts, while the one at the eastern end holds at least sixteen.

The southern part runs from the middle enclosure to the Rook Watershed Reave, some 1.15 kilometres, south-east for the first kilometre and then east. It is a bank up to 3 metres wide and 0.7 metres high and is thought to be later than the Rook Reave. Its southern end butts against the Rook Watershed Reave, but as they are different kinds of reave they are scheduled separately.
