Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1020566) describes a bowl barrow of Late Neolithic to Bronze Age date on a level hilltop with wide views across the Upper Plym Valley. It is a low mound 12 metres across and up to 1.5 metres high, with an oval hollow in the middle, 2 metres wide, 4 metres long and 0.4 metres deep, most likely from an ancient excavation. A quarry ditch about 2 metres wide will ring the mound as a buried feature. A 19th-century boundary stone, listed Grade II, is set into the south side of the mound, lettered SM on its west face and LM on its east, marking the boundary between the setts of the Shaugh Moor and Lee Moor china clay companies. It lies in the parish of Shaugh Prior, about 1.6 km north of Blackalder Tor and 1.7 km north-east of Wotter.
