Newleycombe Lake enclosed hut circle settlement, west

Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1009094) describes an agglomerated enclosure holding six stone hut circles on a north-facing slope overlooking Newleycombe Lake. It is two joined enclosures with partly faced rubble walls. The northern one is almost circular, 49 metres north to south by 51 metres east to west inside, with a wall 1 metre wide and 0.5 metres high. Three huts lie inside it and two more are attached to the inside of its boundary. The southern enclosure is later, 26 metres north to south by 33 metres east to west, with a low rubble wall that in places barely shows above the turf, and one hut is linked to its boundary. It lies in the parish of Walkhampton, about 1.2 km north-east of Combeshead Tor.

All six huts are circular, 2.7 to 4.2 metres across inside, averaging 3.35 metres, with walls 0.3 to 0.7 metres high. One has a doorway that can be seen. Another enclosed settlement a short way to the north-east has its own scheduling.
