Holne
One of the most beautiful wild-swimming pools in the Dart Gorge, a long, deep reach of clear green water between two cascades, lined with granite slabs and little sandy coves.
Rattery
A remote reservoir high on the southern moor, on the River Avon above Shipley Bridge. Built between 1954 and 1957, it is reached only on foot, by a good track up the Avon valley from near South Brent.
I am an artist living on Dartmoor in Devon, these surroundings are a rich source of inspiration and have become an important part of my work.
