Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1018933) describes a tinners' building beside a tin streamwork next to the Black Ridge Brook. A substantial drystone wall up to 1.1 metres high surrounds a rectangle 4.9 metres by 3.4 metres inside. A gap midway along the south wall is the entrance. The outer wall is roughly circular, which makes it much thicker in places, and an extension of the wall west of the entrance was presumably meant to give extra shelter from bad weather. It was probably built and used by tinners working the nearby streamwork. It lies in the parish of Dartmoor Forest.
