Three hut circles, Hen Tor

Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1020052) describes three stone hut circles, part of a partly enclosed hut circle settlement, on a gentle north-west-facing slope above the valley of the River Plym. The western hut is 4 metres across inside, with a wall 0.9 metres wide and up to 0.3 metres high. Its south-east wall is joined to another hut, 3 metres across inside, with a wall 1.4 metres wide and up to 0.6 metres high. The third lies 8 metres east-south-east of the second, 2.8 metres across inside, with a wall 1.3 metres wide and 0.6 metres high. A gap in its south-west side is probably the original doorway, lined on its west side and partly blocked by a fallen upright stone. The monument is in the care of the Secretary of State. It lies in the parish of Shaugh Prior, about 0.9 km south of Shavercombe Tor.
