Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1007548) describes a stone hut circle on a gentle east-facing slope above the valley of the River Walkham. The hut is faced with upright stones and is 6.3 metres across inside, within a wall 1.5 metres wide and up to 0.3 metres high. It lies close to a substantial Bronze Age field boundary known as the Great Western Reave, at the edge of a contemporary but fragmentary field system. It lies in the parish of Peter Tavy, about 0.6 km north-east of Great Staple Tor and 1.3 km north of Merrivale.
