Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1021337) describes a stone hut circle on a south-facing slope of Hartland Tor, overlooking the valley of the East Dart River.
The wall is a double ring of upright stones and coursed stonework, 2 metres wide and up to 0.8 metres high, around an inner area 8.5 metres across. A gap facing south-east marks the original entrance.
