Stinger's Hill
Devon
Stinger's Hill is a small granite tor sitting on the open moor of central Dartmoor. The peak itself is unremarkable in height, but its position gives it good visibility across the surrounding moorland, and the walk to it passes through typical Dartmoor terrain: rough grass, heather and scattered stones.
The tor makes a natural waypoint on moorland walks rather than a destination in itself. Its modest stature and isolated location give it the quiet character of many of Dartmoor's lesser-known peaks, where the appeal lies in the landscape around it rather than the summit itself.
