Spring Head is a holy well situated on Dartmoor's high ground. Like many such sites across Devon and beyond, it represents centuries of human need and belief centred on a natural water source. Wells of this kind were often associated with healing, blessing or simply the practical importance of clean water in remote moorland settings.

Today the site is modest and quiet, as befits its moorland location. Visitors walking the high moor will find it a tangible link to the generations who valued this particular spring, whether for practical or spiritual reasons. Its presence on the landscape speaks to the long history of settlement and movement across Dartmoor's exposed terrain.

Historic England listed designation: Spring Head at SX 620 935
