Ivy Tor
Devon
Ivy Tor sits in Belstone Cleave to the east of Belstone village, where it pokes up through bracken and trees on the valley side. The granite is topped with a magnificent mossy clitter of broken stone. It's a straightforward walk from Belstone itself, following the river path, though approaching from higher ground like Cosdon means pushing through dense vegetation and boggy terrain. The cleave views are pleasant but Cosdon's bulk behind limits distance views. At 245 metres, it's a modest height on Dartmoor and rates as a modest walk, but the wooded cleave setting makes it distinctive.
