Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1008652) describes a flat-topped round cairn with a cist, on a south-facing slope below Leather Tor, overlooking Burrator Reservoir. The mound is 5.5 metres across and up to 0.7 metres high, and its southern edge is marked by a kerb of large stones set on edge. The kerb probably survives as a buried feature on the north side. The middle of the mound has been partly dug out and shows a cist aligned north to south, 1 metre long, 0.7 metres wide and 0.4 metres deep inside. Its south end stone is missing, and the capstone, 1 metre by 0.6 metres, has been moved and lies a short way south-west of the cist. It lies in the parish of Walkhampton, about 0.3 km south of Lower Leather Tor and 1.9 km north of Sheepstor.
