Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1018509) describes a partly enclosed hut circle settlement known as Kraps Ring, on a moderate north-facing slope of Lakehead Hill overlooking the valley of the East Dart River. The enclosure is an oval 120 metres long and 113 metres wide, bounded by a rubble bank up to 5.5 metres wide and 0.8 metres high. Eleven hut circles stand inside and two others a little to the south. The huts are banks round circular or oval spaces of 5.3 to 50.2 square metres, averaging 16.7, with walls 0.3 to 0.82 metres high, averaging 0.52. Four have visible doorways and one has an annex, and both rubble bank and upright-stone construction are used. It lies in the parish of Dartmoor Forest, about 1 km east of Arch Tor and 1.1 km south-west of Postbridge.
