This scheduled monument consists of eight hut circles and two enclosures scattered across the moorland south of Leeden Tor. The structures likely date to the Bronze Age, when communities lived and herded stock on Dartmoor's higher ground. The hut circles are the remains of roundhouses where families sheltered; the enclosures may have contained animals or served ritual purposes.
Today the site lies open on the moor, with the stone foundations of the buildings still visible as subtle rings and platforms in the turf. This unenclosed settlement is part of a wider pattern of Bronze Age occupation across Dartmoor, reflecting a landscape once far more densely populated than it appears now.
