Dunna Goat Tors

Dunna Goat Tors is a small granite peak set in the heart of Dartmoor's high country. Its name and modest stature mark it as a waypoint rather than a dominant summit, yet it commands views across the open moorland that surrounds it. The granite outcrops are characteristic of the moor, weathered and scattered across the plateau.

The approach across the open moor is typical Dartmoor walking, with heather, grass and bog underfoot. The tor itself offers a natural stopping point from which to take in the patterns of the landscape: the distant ridges, the becks cutting through the valleys, and the vast sky overhead. It sits comfortably within the network of tors that punctuate this section of the moor.
