All our stock is hand-picked, ever-changing and carefully curated, everything from philosophy to natural history, classics to the best in new fiction. We also have a dedicated section for children and young people, and feature books and maps relating to Dartmoor and our local area.
We showcase local artists, displaying regular art exhibitions in the bookshop. An official stockist for cards and art prints by illustrator Chris Dunn, we also stock jigsaws, stationery, book-related gifts, cards & gift wrap.
Browsers are always welcome. Or we’re on hand if needed to advise, track down that long-lost book or recommend the perfect read for you. Anything in print that we don’t stock can usually be ordered for next day delivery or collection.

Kind words
I met Kate several years ago now when I first moved up to the northern side of the moor. She has always been massively supportive of my work and not been afraid to tell me the truth when she thinks I'm on the wrong track. She has also happily got involved in some of my weird photography projects.
