Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1012472) describes a cist 200 metres south-west of Gutter Tor, running north-west to south-east. It has three sides remaining, the east side and the cover stone are out of place but lie beside it, and there is no sign of a mound. It is 1.2 metres long, 0.6 metres wide and 0.5 metres deep. It lies about 100 metres north-west of a cairn and cist and within 200 metres of two hut settlements, all near the summit of Gutter Tor. It lies in the parish of Sheepstor, about 0.9 km west of Eastern Tor and 1.8 km south-east of Sheepstor.
