Black Hill

On walking routes: Templer Way

Black Hill is a flat-topped hill to the north of Haytor, with a notable cairn at its northern end. The high point is 200 metres south, offering good views of Haytor, Rippon Tor to the south, and Hameldown, Hound Tor and Chinkwell Tor to the west. The walk from Haytor is straightforward, and the area is marked with historical markers placed by the Duke of Somerset.
