Assycombe Hill

Grid ref: SX 6641 8212

On walking routes: Two Moors Way

Assycombe Hill sits on the north-eastern edge of Dartmoor, near Fernworthy Forest and the Warren House Inn. The walk from the pub over Water Hill leads easily to the hill, which offers good views south to Hameldown Beacon and west to Princetown. Just north of the hill lies the Assycombe Stone Row, a double stone row of historical interest. The forest to the north blocks views in that direction, but the hill is a solid, granite feature with a straightforward approach.
