Three stone hut circles 300m south east of Headland Warren Farm

These three stone hut circles are the remains of a Bronze Age settlement on Dartmoor's high ground. The circular stone foundations show where roundhouses once stood, part of a wider pattern of prehistoric occupation across the moor. Such settlements cluster in places where Bronze Age people found shelter, water and grazing.
Today the site sits in open moorland, exposed to the weather much as it was thousands of years ago. The hut circles are visible as subtle depressions and stone rings in the turf. Walking here gives a direct sense of how the landscape was used and lived on in the distant past, and how Dartmoor's character has endured.
