Hut circle near Venford Reservoir dam

This scheduled monument comprises a prehistoric hut circle and a substantial length of boundary walling, likely dating to the Bronze Age when Dartmoor was more densely settled than it is today. The hut circle represents a domestic dwelling, while the 860 metres of walling suggests organized land use and pastoral farming across this part of the moor.
