This scheduled monument comprises a prehistoric hut circle and a substantial length of boundary walling, likely dating to the Bronze Age when Dartmoor was more densely settled than it is today. The hut circle represents a domestic dwelling, while the 860 metres of walling suggests organized land use and pastoral farming across this part of the moor.
Today the site sits in open moorland south west of Venford Reservoir, part of the wider landscape of archaeological remains that tell the story of Dartmoor's ancient inhabitants.
