Sortridge Manor

Devon

Sortridge Manor is a substantial listed building with roots reaching back to the medieval period. Like many manors of Dartmoor's periphery, it represents the longstanding pattern of settlement and land management that shaped this landscape. The building survives as a record of domestic and agricultural life across several centuries, adapted and modified by its inhabitants.

Today the manor stands in the quiet countryside south of Dartmoor, a solid reminder of the farming communities who worked these moorland edges. Visitors can view the exterior and appreciate its place in the local heritage landscape, though the building remains in private ownership and should be respected as such.
