Great Bidlake

Devon

Great Bidlake is a substantial listed building standing in the moorland landscape of central Dartmoor. The name suggests a significant farmstead of some age, and the building's Grade II* listing indicates it retains considerable historic interest and architectural character. Like many moorland farms, it reflects centuries of settlement and land use on Dartmoor's high ground.

Today the building remains a private residence within its moorland setting. Visitors to this part of Dartmoor will encounter it as part of the fabric of the working landscape, where farms and their structures form a human layer within the wider moorland geography of stone, grass and sky.
