Shaptor Rock is a significant Dartmoor peak, located near Hennock. It offers breathtaking views over the Wray Valley and beyond, stretching as far as Trendlebere Down and Haytor Rocks. The summit, a vast flat bedrock of granite, is particularly striking in winter, visible from distant points like Bovey Tracey. The underside of the rock, just above the path from Shaptor Farm, presents a unique sight with its rounded mass covered in green moss, creating a beautiful contrast with the rock's horizontal jointings.
