This round cairn sits on open moorland northwest of East Okement Farm, a surviving burial monument from the Bronze Age. Like many cairns scattered across Dartmoor, it was constructed as a place to inter the dead and likely served as a focal point for the communities who lived on and used the moor in prehistory. Today the cairn remains as a low stone mound visible among the heather and grass.
