Harford Moor hut circle settlement

Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1004574) describes an unenclosed stone hut circle settlement with a single enclosure and several more boundary banks, on the western slopes of Harford Moor, overlooking the valleys of the River Erme and Left Lake. It is eight stone hut circles, one oval enclosure and several lengths of boundary bank. The enclosure wall is up to 1.2 metres wide and about 0.3 metres high and connects two of the huts. The other banks are similarly preserved, and the two longest form curving arcs to the north-east and south-west of the settlement.

The huts have substantial upright-faced or coursed walls up to 3 metres wide and 2 metres high and are from 6.2 to 7.5 metres across inside. Several are linked by boundary banks, four have curving partition walls inside, and where entrances can be seen they face south. Other remains nearby, some scheduled and some not, are outside this scheduling.
