Hennock Hideaways (Campsite)

Hennock Hideaways is a family campsite run by three generations on what they cheerfully describe as a 'pointless smallholding' near Dartmoor. You pick your own pitch from the available spots, take in views across the Teign Valley, and make use of the Tea Shed for washing up and the honesty shop for essentials. The owners are usually nearby managing rural life—from collecting eggs to corralling goats.

During warmer months (May bank holiday through August), they serve proper breakfasts and coffee. The Palk Arms pub is within walking distance, and the site sits well for accessing local footpaths and Dartmoor walks. There's space for children to run around and room to do your own thing. It's straightforward, unfussy camping with genuine Devon hospitality.
