Eastern Tor holds the remains of a Bronze Age enclosed settlement, its hut circles still visible as low stony rings within the protective boundary of an ancient enclosure. This is one of many such settlements scattered across Dartmoor, evidence of communities who lived and worked the high moorland in prehistory, herding livestock and cultivating the better-drained slopes.
The site sits prominently on the tor itself, offering wide views across the moor.
