Cockingford Farm Campsite is an idyllic, family-run campsite set on a working farm in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, on the outskirts of Widecombe-in-the-Moor. Three camping fields border the East Webburn river — perfect for paddling and wild swimming — and the site may introduce you to the farm's Gloucester Old Spot pigs. Voted 3rd best British campsite in 2016, it offers spacious pitches for tents and vans, a cosy 3-berth caravan, and a Valley View Pod with panoramic moorland views. Campfires are permitted, showers and toilets are on site, and Widecombe village is just 1.5 miles away along a footpath. Open 15 March to 15 November.
