Amicombe Brook

Mary Tavy, Devon

Part of Mary Tavy →

Amicombe Brook rises in a notably boggy valley on the remote north-west moor, between Amicombe Hill and Great Kneeset. It flows past Dinger Pool and receives Black Ridge Brook and Cut Combe Water before curving west around Amicombe Hill to meet the River Tavy above Tavy Cleave. Walkers heading for Fur Tor typically cross the brook at Sandy Ford.
