Lamerton is a village and parish in West Devon, 3 miles north-west of Tavistock. The parish council places it between the Tamar Valley to the west and Dartmoor National Park to the east, with the parish fringing the park to the north-east. The 2021 census recorded 887 residents. The River Lumburn runs through the village.

The Domesday manor belonged to Ruald Adobed, and the great tithes were later appropriated to the abbot and convent of Tavistock. The church of St Peter has parts from the late 14th or early 15th century, but a fire in 1877 destroyed everything except the tower, and it was rebuilt in the Perpendicular style. Collacombe manor house is a Grade I listed Elizabethan house, built largely by the Tremayne family, with the date 1574 on a chimney piece. The parish has over 50 listed buildings, and the Olde Priest's House is of 13th century origin, rebuilt in the 16th and restored in 1934.

Three mines on Collacombe Down were working in 1850, and the parish history says the mines around Tavistock were worked out by 1900. The Blacksmiths Arms is the village pub, and the parish runs a sports and community centre. A Victorian school building stands near the church. A councillor has compiled The Book of Lamerton as a record of the parish.
