Whiddon Park Deer Park Wall is a Listed Building of Grade II* status, marking the remains of a medieval deer park enclosure in the Whiddon area of Dartmoor. The wall itself is a significant survival, built from stone and constructed to contain and manage deer as a valued resource for a local estate. Such parks were status symbols and practical assets during the medieval and post-medieval periods, supplying both sport and food.
Today the wall stands as a physical reminder of how Dartmoor's landscape was managed and exploited by landowners of considerable means.
