Traces the story of the Plymouth, Stonehouse and Devonport leats, the water-supply system that carried Dartmoor water down to Plymouth from Francis Drake's 1591 Plymouth Leat onward, including the curious annual tradition of the Fishing Feast held at the leat's headweir until the site was lost beneath Burrator Reservoir in 1898.
