The Leaping Salmon

The Leaping Salmon is a family-run pub and restaurant in Horrabridge, set beside the River Walkham at the edge of Dartmoor. The stone-built free house has been recently refurbished to retain original features like inglenook fireplaces and beamed ceilings, with disabled access, a tiered beer garden and substantial car park.

The kitchen sources ingredients locally wherever possible, growing vegetables in their own polytunnel. They offer accommodation, a function room (currently hosting events while the cellar undergoes refurbishment), and a café open Tuesday to Sunday mornings. The location makes it a natural base for walking Dartmoor, with Drake's Trail, Burrator Reservoir and nearby moorland within easy reach.
