The site of the current church represents almost 1,000 years of worship in the village and it is possibly the oldest Chantry in the Diocese of Exeter.
During the mid 19th century the original chapel was destroyed by fire. The building you see today dates from 1875.
The history of this special place is recorded on the notice board near the Font and the stained glass windows are of particular interest.
