Snowdon is a fairly flat hill on Dartmoor's central moorland, with two cairns at the summit. It's a good spot for long-distance views in all directions. An easy walk can be made from here to Puper’s Hill or Ryder’s Hill, though the latter has boggy ground even in summer. No military areas are nearby.
