The Chorographical Description, or Survey of the County of Devon

byTristram Risdon

1714 · Edmund Curll (1714); Rees and Curtis, Plymouth (1811)

The Chorographical Description, or Survey of the County of Devon, with the city and county of Exeter, was collected by Tristram Risdon and completed about 1632. It was copied by hand for almost eighty years before Edmund Curll printed it in 1714. The edition of 1811 printed for Rees and Curtis of Plymouth gave the fuller text, and a reprint of that edition (Barnstaple, 1970) is held in the Library.
