Rafikis

Rafikis is an independent vegetarian café-bar-restaurant run by Susie and Kian, who've settled in Ashburton after years of travelling. The space welcomes everyone—locals, walkers passing through Dartmoor, and anyone looking for somewhere with genuine character. They've handmade much of the place themselves, bringing influences from their travels into the décor and menu.

Open for daytime brunch, coffee and cakes throughout the week, Rafikis expands to evening service Friday and Saturday with cocktails, beer, wine and small plates. They work closely with local suppliers and artists, and genuinely welcome well-behaved dogs. No daytime bookings—just turn up, though large groups should get in touch about evenings.
