John Bull Cafe is one of ten cafes across the north campus, specialising in affordable, fresh food and drink made with locally sourced ingredients. The cafe has earned a three-star Sustainable Restaurant Association rating, reflecting genuine commitment to sustainable sourcing, reducing disposable packaging, and lowering meat intake.

The team displays carbon impact information on menus to help customers make environmentally conscious choices. They offer a 20p discount for using a reusable cup, and an app-based loyalty programme is in development. Payment is cashless, accepting cards and mobile devices.
