Henry Everett

"Henry is a poet, story collector and teller, writer, visual artist, and playful explorer of the world. Based on Dartmoor, he seeks out the words which connect us to the land, tales that tell of places and the sparkles that sing of ridiculous nonsense."

Henry tells traditional tales in the oral storytelling tradition passed down through the generations, inspired by our connection to the land, spirits of place and our human relationship with the magical landscape. He performs at festivals, theatres, schools and events across the South West and beyond, with regular storytelling evenings with South Devon Storytellers in Buckfastleigh. He holds a BA Hons in Photography and is also an exhibiting photographic artist, with his series "Dartmoor Called Me Home" exploring the moor through abstraction and visual storytelling.

His first book, Pixie Folk Tales, published by The History Press in August 2025, is an anthology of more than 50 traditional tales of the Pixies, Piskeys, Knockers and Spriggans of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset.
