Dunsford Parish Council

Dunsford is a village and civil parish in the Teign valley, in the Teignbridge district of Devon, close to the eastern edge of Dartmoor National Park and near the neighbouring villages of Christow and Bridford. Dunsford Parish Council is the elected local authority for the parish, working alongside Teignbridge District Council and Devon County Council on planning and local services. At the heart of the village stands the Grade I listed St Mary's Church, dating from the 15th century, a prominent local landmark in the village centre. The parish is well known beyond its own boundaries for Dunsford Wood and the Dunsford and Meadhaydown Woods nature reserve on the banks of the River Teign, celebrated for its spring displays of wild daffodils. As with neighbouring Christow and Bridford, Dunsford maintains its own separate, independently elected parish council rather than sharing a clerk or council with its neighbours.
