This scheduled monument preserves a complex of Bronze Age remains scattered across Little Stannon Newtake, south east of Stannon Tor. The site includes coaxial field systems, the foundations of a prehistoric settlement, two cairns and a stone alignment, offering a snapshot of how people organised and used this part of Dartmoor during the Bronze Age.
Today the landscape shows the characteristic patterns of ancient land division and settlement that survive across Dartmoor's high ground. Walking here, you move through layers of time: the fields still define the slopes, the cairns mark significant points, and the stone alignment preserves a ritual or territorial marker from three thousand years ago.
