California Country Inn

The California Inn is a historic 14th-century freehouse situated at California Cross, between Ivybridge and Dartmoor. The crossroads and pub take their name from the old coaching house where travellers would gather to catch westbound stage coaches to Plymouth and ships to the New World. Today it remains a proper local pub serving cask-marked ales and a varied menu ranging from classic British pub fare to fine dining.

Open daily from 11:30am, the Cali serves food from noon to 9pm (with Sunday hours adjusted), and welcomes dogs and BritStop motorhomes. The menu includes an à la carte option, specials board, vegan choices and Sunday roasts. Table bookings are recommended after 8pm.
